Mahindra Satyam Partners with Jawood to win Blue Cross Blue Shield of Louisiana 5010 HIPAA Implementation Project

Jawood a leading nationwide IT Business Process Solutions Company has been selected to provide testing and conversion support to Blue Cross Blue Shield of Louisiana’s HIPAA 5010 Implementation

Blue Cross Blue Shield of Louisiana (BCBSLA) selects Jawood and partner Mahindra Satyam for 5010 HIPAA Implementation. The move signals continued strength in support of Blues plans for Jawood which has been servicing major healthcare payers including Blues plans for more than 20 years.

Implementing the updated 5010 HIPAA electronic transaction standards replaces the existing 4010 standards and is required by United States Department of Health and Human Services for all healthcare payers and providers include BCBSLA. The update includes improvements that will reduce ambiguities in the use of data as well as increase the usability and usefulness of standards.
